Hey kittens, today’s blog post is one that is a little different – in fact, I do very few jewellery reviews, saving them for extra special items. And I would say that these earrings are definitely special for the price tag – a lovely Christmas gift idea for your mum, your sister or your girlfriend this year.
These earrings are not my usual style. Despite being sparkly, I usually go for big, dangly statement costume jewellery or neat little studs – polar opposites on the earring scale, but that’s my taste. However, I jumped out of my comfort zone for these earrings as they have something special within them that I’ve never owned before – diamonds! Yep, the sparkles might be small, but they are actually 1/5CT white diamonds and I think that’s pretty special. The main body of the earring is 0.21CT sterling silver with gold plating.
I never thought I would be lucky enough to own a pair of diamond earrings before, but this pair* from Gemporia totally changed my mind. At only £44, I think these are an absolute bargain if you are looking to give someone special a gift to keep forever this festive season. They might not be the biggest, blinging Kim-Kardashian inspired earrings, but they’re classic and timeless, and for less than fifty quid it certainly won’t break the bank.
If this particular pair don’t take your fancy, Gemporia do a whole host of beautiful gemstone (duh!) inspired jewellery at reasonable prices; I personally have my eye on a beautiful opal and gold cocktail ring, I can also vouch for their fantastic customer service – when one of my earrings turned up slightly damanged, they replaced it immediately with no questions asked and only apologies. So many larger brands could take a lesson or two in customer service from these jewellery specialists – and as Christmas present buying hits it’s busy season, I reckon the shopping experience is almost as important as the gift itseself.
